So, One of the reasons that the Drazz Concept took so long, is I got involved in a Zbrush Class. While I’ve been working in 3D for a long time, and i’ve sort of picked up Zbrush along the way – I’ve never done any formal training in it. So when this opportunity came up, I took it.
The class went through the basics of Zbrush, but also focused on workflow and pipeline from Zbrush to Maya and Vray, creation of high level detail, as well as human anatomy. I thought I would post a few of the pieces I created for this class over the next few days.
One of the exercises we did was to create a hero level model of a weapon – focusing on small details. I picked a flintlock – cos it was vaguely related to this project – 2 birds with one stone and all that.
Didn’t actually get to finish it – but the base mesh, UV’s, lighting and shader assignments are all done to a level where I can really go to town on the details – when I get a chance 🙂
There will be an update to this sometime in the future
